I normally by "gently used" ensures it runs and no issues present on the device.to be honest i meant to get the 245 s garmin watch instead of this one i wondered why the price was so low lol. But i love this watch the 45 s it came in perfect condition and works just fine and really has everything i need as a runner to keep track of my stats. The app that pairs with the watch garmin connect is awesome. I like this watch way more than my apple watchI was looking for an activity tracking watch that had a round watch face, always on display, and wouldn't look disproportionately large on my wrist. I just care about basic step tracking, sleep tracking, heart rate and being able to see some notifications from my phone. Both the Forerunner 45s and the Vivoactive 4s seemed to meet those criteria, so I tried both to compare.Pros- Forerunner is noticeably slimmer and lighter than the Vivoactive, and also quite a bit cheaper. This is the biggest advantage over the Vivoactive from my perspective.- Battery life is great, it's easy to go multiple days between charging- Syncing with Garmin Connect has worked flawlessly- You can choose from lots of different configurable watch faces- Unlike the Vivoactive, there's no touch screen. You have to use buttons to navigate to different screens on the watch. At first I thought this would be annoying, but once I got used to it I realized the good thing is that the watch face doesn't get as smudge-y since you never need to swipe it. You can see from the photo that my Vivoactive already has some smudges that are hard to get rid of and make it a little harder to read the watch face when the backlight is off.Cons- Unlike the Vivoactive, the Forerunner doesn't use standard watch straps so you can't swap them out to a different color or material- There's a Garmin logo and button labels around the screen on the Forerunner. I like the minimal look of the Vivoactive better.- There are less compatible watch faces available for the Forerunner than the Vivoactive- The screen resolution is smaller than the Vivoactive. The difference is noticeable for things like text notifications. On the Forerunner I almost always have to scroll to read a complete message.I bought it refurbished to save 50$. It didn't come with the original box, but who cares. Any scratch or symptoms that could show that it has been used before. Looks totally new.It just arrived so I haven't used it yet in a run, but it seems to work perfectly. There were no reviews from this refurbished item before, but as it was from Amazon I decided to get it. It's seems it's been a win.UPDATE:Ok, not everything so nice. Screen gets like frozen and some parts of the previous screen remain on some pixels when you just move into the menu. Solution: I downloaded a screen that only appears when you touch a button...not really what I was looking for, but I solves that pixel problem.UPDATE 2.0:Corrector inglés de ortografía y de gramática inglésGPS Stopped working after a month of being using it. I've tried EVERYTHING to solve it, been in touch with the support department... but nothing happens. This is a big drawback since I cannot run using the GPs and the data I get now is anything but accurate. Moreover, my time of return is not over able. Finally, it wasn't a win. Be aware of what you're buying... maybe this is not a good option.It's a garmin, it's expensive, it lacks a lot of configuration options that are common in watches today. I also found the screen very dim. I eventually went with the Amazfit 2e for less money, more features, more sports and sensors and what I think is a much better watch.I like the size and display. Do not like the lack of battery status display. Watch keeps going dead then have to reset everything. Very frustrating.My previous Garmin was the forerunner 35 and I liked that better. And it was less expensive. It also provided more info in an easier format.Don't go for those high prices watches. This one does it allSleek design, easy to wear. The watch-face is fun to customize with your own photos or watch-faces others have made.
